He emphasized the need to reduce costs rather than exacerbate them.

Gomez criticized former President Donald Trump and his administration's perceived disconnect from everyday economic struggles faced by ordinary Americans: "When’s the last time Donald Trump went to a grocery store? The Let Them Eat Cake administration and its Cabinet of Billionaires don’t care about lowering prices."
