The Broad Museum in Los Angeles will host "Jeffrey Gibson: the space in which to place me," an exhibition featuring the artist's multidimensional work. This presentation is adapted from Gibson's original showcase at the U.S. Pavilion during the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024, where he became the first Indigenous artist to represent the United States with a solo exhibition.

This marks Gibson's first single-artist museum exhibition in Southern California. The Broad's display will include over thirty artworks that embody his inclusive vision. The exhibition will feature Gibson’s use of geometric design and vibrant colors, while also incorporating references to American historical documents and modern music. Through this, it critiques systemic injustices and envisions a more equitable future.

The exhibition will be open to the public from May 10 through September 28, 2025, in the museum’s first-floor galleries. Tickets are expected to be available in Spring 2025.
