The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is hosting an exhibition titled "Zheng Chongbin: Golden State." This exhibition highlights the work of artist Zheng Chongbin, focusing on his exploration of water, light, movement, and California's natural landscape. It is noted as the largest solo presentation of Zheng's work in the United States and marks the first significant display featuring his use of colored pigments.

Previously, exhibitions have presented Zheng’s work within the framework of Chinese ink painting. However, LACMA aims to position him as a distinctly Californian artist through this showcase.

The exhibition is curated by Susanna Ferrell, who serves as the Wynn Resorts Associate Curator of Chinese Art at LACMA.
