The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has announced that the public will have access to various features of the new David Geffen Galleries starting in summer 2025. This announcement comes as part of preparations for the official opening scheduled for April 2026. The galleries are set to become the new home for LACMA's permanent collection.

Construction of the building, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor, was completed at the end of 2024. LACMA is currently moving key operating functions into the new space. During this transition, installations of outdoor sculptures and openings of dining and retail spaces will begin, along with special preview events.
